  1. This world is full of problems and unmet expectations, be wise enough in treating them:
  • Small and unimportant problems — forget and let go
  • Small but important problems — try to compromise
  • Big and important problems — try to communicate and resolve.

2. Achievement is not only in career. It is worth the focus to achieve contentment in spiritual-mental-physical health, family, relationship, and friendship.

3. Appreciate more people, genuinely.

4. Be kind and gentle. But know when and how to strive for self-advocacy.

5. One can still advocate thyself without being selfish.

6. Be most vulnerable in front of The Highest Power.

7. Expect nothing in return after offering kindness, it makes life much easier — But humans have natural inclination to expect something in return, then expect only from the Highest Power. No disappointments will happen.

8. I have many blindspots. Grateful for individuals around me who point them out for me.

9. I am always unfinished and a work-in-progress.

10. Learn to have difficult conversations with the parents, listen to their hidden struggles without any judgment.

11. One’s surroundings have a huge influence in shaping characters, values, and abilities, that eventually contribute to shape one’s future.

12. Failures and rejections are part of progress. They are unavoidable.

13. Wear sunscreen. Period.

14. Crack jokes in an intense situation, when possible and appropriate. It melts the tension.

15. Consider the nature and air quality when choosing place to reside/live.

16. Decent people will meet decent people naturally like magnets. Vice versa.

17. Pay attention to daily small things. Like the breath, sky, rain, taste of rice, smells of coffee.

18. Life is never and will never be perfect, learn to feel content and be grateful.

19. Not lazy, but uninspired. Continuously, seeking for inspiration is important.

20. Reading books calms the mind.

21. Writing untangles the busy-mind.

22. Death is always on the calendar. Time to be alive is invaluable.

23. Work in a tech-startup for fast professional growth and constant adrenaline. No need to buy rollercoaster tickets.

24. Layoff is hard for the reasons of:

  • Losing financial income
  • Losing sense of communal purpose
  • Hurting the trust that had been built
  • Facing the sense of instability and confusion

25. Find ways to travel more. Meet strangers, reconnect with precious individuals, learn more about myself, and feel His mercy.

26. Revisit the phone’s gallery, lots of memories there (that sometimes forgotten).

27. Learn to show up even when in fear and worry.

28. Again, be content :)

Cheers and best wishes,
Diella
